A newsletter can establish your authority and credibility in the field if you do it right.
WHY email marketing?
According to a study done by the Marketing Sherpa, 72% of people prefer to receive promotional content through email rather than through social media. Email drives more conversions than any other marketing channel.
Thus, I encourage you to start sending newsletters to your clients, so that all your followers are in one place, that is 100% controlled by you, and through which you can have a more direct relationship. When someone gives you her/his name and email, that's one step closer to you!

Invite your followers to sign up to your newsletter. Make it clear what they get by joining their list and how often they would be receiving it to set expectations.
Create your email “broadcast” using an email service provider such as MailChimp or Constant Contact. I personally like MailChimp, it's free when you have under 2000 subscribers, and it's user-friendly.
Send out your newsletter consistently. Always show up. Create content to inspire, educate, and entertain your audience, bring value to them, make it relevant to what you are planning to sell. You’ll gain authority in your field and credibility in your expertise. You’ll become the go-to person when it comes to the topic that you master.
(You don’t have to have a PDH and be an expert for this, just ahead of the beginner!)
Develop a product/service that you can sell, around your field of expertise and your passion.
When you are ready, sell your product to your list. Make your offer time-bound and create scarcity.

"This offer is limited to the first 50 bookings/orders."
Get feedback on your product/service so you can improve it, and collect testimonials for your second round of sale.
The content you will give for free in your newsletters should be connected to what you will sell down the road, as it’s giving you an authority in your field of expertise.
For example, if you will sell a makeup masterclass, you can make your newsletter around beauty tips, tutorials, and product reviews.
If you will sell a series of health coaching sessions, perhaps you can create your newsletters around healthy habits, mindset tools, and healthy meal recipes.
